There are a few simple tasks to perform before your child(ren) can work and it is in everyone’s best interests to complete these requests swiftly so we can get started.
The tasks to complete are as follows:
First and foremost, we need to make things legal. This way, you and the agency will never have any confusion regarding their roles and duties. Once everything is clear, sign where you must and you’ll be good to go. This will also make you aware of all the terms and conditions so that no issues will arise down the road. See an example of our standard Contract of Agreement here.
After you’ve signed the contract and paid the fee, we will be able to book you in for a photoshoot. Please contact us when you’re ready, so that we can book you in. Keep in mind that the next photoshoot dates could be booking up fast, but that your contract doesn’t start until the day of the photoshoot. Find out more about the photoshoot process here.
It’s highly unlikely that you will ever be paid in cash, and your child’s payment must go to an account in their name. Learn more about managing your child’s finances when they are a working model or actor.
Once your profiles have been set up in Syngency and Casting Networks, you will be notified via email. You will then need to go and update all of your profile details on both platforms. For a step-by-step guide to logging on and updating your profile in Syngency click here and for Casting Networks click here.
Once all of the above is complete, you won’t need to do anything else but sit tight and be patient. However, it is recommended that you review the Casting Essentials on our Knowledge Base to prepare for any future auditions or work that may arise. When a Client expresses an interest and would like to set up an audition, we’ll share a few high fives around the office and then get in touch with you immediately. It is important to note that you must ensure that firstname.lastname@example.org is added to your email VIP list and that your respond ASAP if we contact you – you may only have a matter of hours to confirm an audition – so stay vigilant and good luck!
