Open casting call for Sydney – and a birthday party too!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see your child as the face of a national ad campaign?

Or perhaps you think your little one was born to work in show business!

Well, now’s your chance to make those dreams come true at Bubblegum’s open casting event right here in our Sydney studio.

On May 10th, 11th, and 12th we’re inviting parents to bring their children to our Sydney studio where they’ll be in with a chance to sign up with Australia’s longest running child talent agency.

The casting call is for any child from babies right up to 17-year-old teenagers, there’s no charge to attend, and no experience is required.

That’s right; if your child has never had a professional photo taken, they’re still more than welcome to come along and do their first ever runway walk with us.

Even if they have never acted on stage but would still like to work on TV, well, now’s their chance to make it happen.

Feeling nervous?

Perhaps you are, but you really have nothing to worry about.

This open casting event just so happens to coincide with our managing director Adam Jacobs’ birthday, and we’ve decided to pull out all the stops to create a massive party atmosphere for the entire three days.

Balloons, music, food; you name it, we’ll have it. We’ll even have some spot prizes and giveaways each day. We might even manage to persuade Adam to wear a silly hat. It is his birthday after all, and he gets to celebrate it for three whole days!

Like we said, we know that kids (and parents) can feel a little nervous when taking their first steps into child modelling or acting.

That’s why we’d like to make that first experience fun and memorable. And everyone loves a birthday party, right?

While having fun will be a priority, we’re also making sure that everyone from the Bubblegum team is on hand to help parents and children put their best foot forward on the day.

You can speak with birthday boy Adam, while our acting and modelling coaches will offer a little training before your child gets in front of the camera. And if you have any questions about the industry, one of our amazing agents will be on hand to help.

We’re expecting quite a lot of people to come along to the studio, and so we’ve decided to ask parents to register their interest first on our Sydney open casting page.

Once we receive your details, we’ll book your child in for their ten-minute slot and let you know when to come along to the studio.

All you’ll need to do is make sure your child is nicely dressed (it’s a birthday party!) and that any child interested in acting has a short monologue prepared.

The monologue doesn’t have to be anything too complicated. It’s just a chance for us to see that your child or teenager can learn some lines and deliver them on camera.

Oh and just to let you know, we won’t make any decisions about representation on the day.

When the dust has settled, and Adam has finished the last piece of his birthday cake, the team will sit down and take a look at all the photos and videos we shot over the three days.

The agency is growing every day, and so we’d like to sign a number of children, but unfortunately, we can’t sign everyone. It’s also important to note that our decision to represent a child doesn’t depend on looks alone. We also take their age, gender, and how they handle themselves in front of a camera into account.

Rest assured though, if we choose your child, we’ll let you know as soon as possible so you can come in for a chat about their fledgling career.

So remember the open casting is on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of May and you must register before attending.

Everyone is more than welcome to join the party, and we’re looking forward to seeing lots of new faces on the day.

If you’ve ever thought about a career in modelling or acting for your child, this is an amazing opportunity so don’t think twice; register your interest today and we’ll see you at the party!
