Inside a Bubblegum Open Casting
This Is For You If:

You Might Want to Skip This If:
- You've already booked with POP Photography — you're already on the pathway. Your session is your fast-track in. We'll review your images and be in touch after your shoot.
- You live more than 90 minutes from Melbourne or Sydney — we'd hate for you to make a big trip. Keep an eye out for events closer to you, or book a session with POP online and skip the travel altogether.
- Your child is currently signed with another talent agency — if they're already represented, this event isn't the right fit. Our castings are for unsigned talent looking for their first opportunity.
On the Day
What to Expect
Our open castings are relaxed, professional, and fun. Here’s what happens when you arrive.

Check In
Arrive at your registered time. Our team will check you in and give your child a number. Quick and easy — no long queues.

Meet Our Agents
Your child will meet one of our casting agents face-to-face. We're looking at personality, confidence, camera presence, and that special spark.

Rules
Cannot be signed to another agency, must live within 90 minutes of the location

On-the-Spot Feedback
You'll get honest feedback from our agents. If your child is what we're looking for, we'll discuss next steps right there and then.

The whole process takes about 15-20 minutes. No full-day commitment. Get in, get assessed, get an answer.

How the Day Runs

Arrive, check in with your registration number, and grab a seat. Complimentary refreshments for parents.

Rolling Assessments
Meet the Agents
Children are called in small groups. Each child gets individual face time with an agent. Quick, relaxed, and fun.

On the Day
Photo Test
A quick snapshot session to see how your child photographs. Nothing fancy — we just want to see their natural presence on camera.

Same Day
Feedback & Results
You'll receive feedback before you leave. If your child is selected, we'll discuss representation and next steps with you on the spot.

Event Duration
All families will have received their feedback by this time. Total event duration is approximately 8 hours and 30mins.

No. The open casting is completely free to attend. There’s no registration fee, no entry fee, and no obligation.
We’re looking for babies, kids, and teens — from newborns through to 17 years old. All experience levels welcome, including complete beginners.
Just your child dressed as they normally would — we want to see the real them. No costumes, no heavy makeup, no formal outfits. Natural is best.
The individual assessment takes about 15-20 minutes. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your registered time slot. You’ll receive feedback before you leave.
If our agents believe your child is right for our roster, we’ll discuss representation with you on the spot. Not every child will be selected — we’re looking for specific qualities — but everyone gets honest, constructive feedback.
We run open castings regularly — monthly in Melbourne and Sydney, and quarterly in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, and Adelaide. Scroll up to see all upcoming dates. You can also apply for our Photo First pathway which is available anytime in any city — no need to wait for an event.
Absolutely. Register each child separately so they each get their own assessment time, but you only need to attend once. Siblings are welcome to watch and wait.
