Kiera, Can You Tell Us About Your Experience On Wellmania?

It was super fun and a very warm and welcoming space for my first-ever acting experience.

What Role Did You Play In Wellmania?

I played Evie, the daughter of Amy Kwan, who is Liv’s best friend.

How Old Were You During The Filming Of Wellmania?

I was 13.

Can You Share Your Favourite Part Of Filming Wellmania?

My favourite part was filming the wedding scene because it was a big fun party with loads of ice cream.

What Was It Like Being On The Set Of Wellmania?

Very cool. It was different, not anything I’d ever seen before, so interesting. And I was not far from all those people who are super famous, so it was kinda crazy, but they were very inclusive to us kids and helped us a lot.

Do You Remember Your Audition For Wellmania? How Did You Feel At The Time?

Yes. When I went in to meet Celeste and the Director, I felt very special to be considered but had low expectations of getting the part.

How Did You React When You Found Out You Got The Part For Wellmania?

I was very excited and was screaming with my little sister.

How Did You Manage To Balance Your Schoolwork With The Filming Schedule?

We had lots of sitting around time on set, so I could get loads of schoolwork done during those times.

Who Would Be Your Dream Co-Star In A Future Project?

Zendaya.

What’s Your Favourite Tv Show Or Movie, And Why?

Friends, because they are very funny, relatable, and all super close.

Do You Want To Continue Acting In The Future? If Not, What’s Your Dream Job?

Yes for the right part.

What Do You Enjoy Doing When You’re Not Acting?

Rhythmic gymnastics, hanging out with my friends, reading, and shopping.

Karen, How Did You Feel When Kiera Went For Her First Audition For Wellmania?

As we were new to the industry, super curious to see what this would be like and very excited about the opportunity for Kiera.

What Was Your Reaction When She Got The Part?

We were very proud of her and, to be honest, couldn’t believe she got the part.

How Was Your Experience Being On Set With Kiera?

It was very interesting. I loved learning about all of the parts involved in the filming. Everyone was very friendly and happy to ask questions. They were great to Kiera and really looked after her.

How Did Kiera Manage Her Schoolwork During The Filming?

Kiera had a trailer, so when we were waiting around she was able to do work in there. Her school was also very good at being flexible about the filming and providing her with the work for when she was on set, so she didn’t miss too much.

Enjoy the ride and support your child to make the most of the experience.

How Do You Support Kiera’s Passion For Acting?

We try and get her exposure as much as possible, but conscious of keeping her balanced with her other activities.

WANT TO BE A CHILD
ACTOR OR MODEL?

At Bubblegum, we represent some of Australia’s brightest young stars, but even so, we’re always on the lookout for fresh new faces and talent.

If your child is aged anywhere from 3 months to 18 years of age, and you think they might have what it takes to shine in front of a camera or on stage, then we want to hear from you.

We’ll set up a quick informal chat where we’ll get a feel for your child’s suitability for working in the industry.

The lucky kids that make it onto our books benefit from in-house workshops and coaching sessions to help them brush up on their skills. They’ll also get great advice and tips from the Bubblegum team, some of whom have worked as child models and actors themselves! We’ll even arrange a portfolio shoot with our in-house photographer.

We want all the kids on our books to have their chance to shine and if that means working twice as hard to make it happen, then that’s what we’ll do!
